End of semester crits.

Masters of Architecture degree is technically over... though there's still a lot of work to do to prepare for exhibition, re-work the posters, take into account critique and adjust my project where possible etc etc. The tutors seemed to receive it well, so I was happy. I would like to continue working on the presentation, showing off a bit more of the the development and reasoning so newcomers at the exhibition in December are able to understand it faster. Once the exhibition is over I'll update this blog post with a proper explanation of the project with drawings, but in the mean time here is what I presented on the day.

The poster and model I handed in at mid-semester that I scrubbed up. It was clunky but got the point across.

Stuff from recently.

I haven't updated in a while because I haven't been doing much painting! Final semester of uni has begun so its been my sole concern as of late... let's hope it was all worth it.

Included is some stuff I did during Noah Bradley's course, which I never got to invest as much time as I planned to. So there are a couple of studies in there, which I've finally begun to enjoy ( I never really used to) Still have lots of it to catch up on...

Lastly, some people asked for a step-by-step for my Market St piece I did a couple months back. I did it in two sittings; mostly blocked out and added textures for the first sitting and then detailed it out the next day. This is one of the few pieces were I actually had an idea / composition in mind before I began. Sometimes I find this helps but other times having an image in my mind can constantly frustrate me because I can't seem to get it on the canvas (screen).

2013 Entry: 2

The timing pattern of these updates has gone completely out the window, so I'll just update this blog whenever I feel the need!

I'm just about to begin Noah Bradley's 12 week online course so i thought I'd put up my more recent work up so I can do a before/after in 12 weeks time... This work was all done at uni when i should have been doing other things...
